Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic drainage massage (MLD) is a specialist type of massage designed to stimulate the lymphatic system. MLD uses a soft, rhythmic, light touch and a gentle stretching of the skin to move excess fluid out of the tissues and back to the lymphatic vessels. MLD massage can reduce swelling and improve lymphatic circulation. This can be beneficial for health conditions that causes lymphatic fluid to accumulate within tissues, causing swelling, pain and inflammation. MLD massage is often recommended post-surgery to help accelerate the healing process and to help to reduce bruising.
